1. Scope of Legal Assistance
Our services exclusively involve facilitating legal marriage registrations under the Special Marriage Act, 1954, and the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. Advocate Khusboo Verma provides advisory, document preparation, and representational assistance before the Marriage Registrar in Guwahati.
2. Document Authenticity Requirements
Clients are solely responsible for the authenticity of all submitted documents (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Birth Certificate). Any fraudulent documents will result in immediate termination of services and possible legal action as per Indian law.
3. Mandatory 30-Day Notice Period
For marriages registered under the Special Marriage Act, 1954 (Sections 5 & 6), a mandatory 30-day notice period is required after applying. Our office does not guarantee any shortcuts that bypass statutory timelines mandated by the Government of India.
4. Three Witnesses Required for Solemnization
The presence of three major, mentally sound witnesses with valid identification (Aadhaar/Voter ID/Passport) is legally compulsory during solemnization before the Marriage Officer. Arranging witnesses is primarily the responsibility of the marrying parties.
5. Professional Fee Transparency
Our quoted professional fees are inclusive of our advisory and documentation services. However, they are exclusive of standard government stamp duties and application fees which are payable to the respective government treasury.
6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms are governed strictly by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of these Terms or related to the services provided shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Guwahati, Assam.
7. Limitation of Liability
While we strive to ensure 100% legal compliance and seamless procedures, Court Marriage Guwahati and its legal counsels cannot be held liable for delays caused by government server downtimes, holidays, or document rejections by the Marriage Registrar.
8. Amendments to Terms
We reserve the right to amend these Terms of Service at any time to reflect changes in legal statutes or service policies. Continued use of our services constitutes your agreement to such modifications.
