A Court Marriage is a civil ceremony performed directly by a Government Marriage Officer and takes 30 days due to statutory notice displays. A Temple Marriage is a religious ceremony; once done, we register it under the Hindu Marriage Act within 3-5 days, avoiding the 30-day notice requirement.
No, witnesses do not need to be from Guwahati. They can belong to any state of India. However, they must carry valid original physical documents (Aadhar Card and PAN Card) and be present at the registrar's office for signature.
